Les Miserables

Based on the Victor Hugo novel, Les Miserables was originally conceived for the stage by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alan Boubil.
This epic saga of social injustice follows the life of Jean Valjean, imprisoned bor 19 years for stealing loaf of bread. After breaking parole, Valjean is hounded relentlessly by Javert, the fanatic police inspector. Ultimately, Javert's obsession leads the two men to a confrontationin the sewers of Paris, from which only one of them only will walk away.

In turn-of-the-century Paris, Gaston Lachaille is a bon vivant much like his uncle, Honore (who thanks heaven for little girls). But Gaston is becoming bored with the high life ... especially the women. He only truly enjoys the time that he spends with one of his uncle's old friends, Madame Alvarez, and her grand-daughter, the precocious and carefree Gigi. Gigi is being groomed to follow in her grandmother's footsteps as a famous courtesan. It suddenly occurs to Gaston that he could become her first protector, but the situation makes him uneasy until he discovers that he's in love with Gigi and wants to marry her.

The Sorcerer/Cox & Box

A story of the secret adminstration to the inhabitants of a small viollage of a love potion, a "Patent Oxy-Hydrogen Love-at- first-sight Philtre", supplied by the mysterious sorcerer John Wellington Wells.
Whilst well-intentioned, the potion's effect of causing a single person to fall madly in love with the first unmarried member of the opposite sex they meet, has unexpected and unwanted, consequences. It will be presented with Cox & Box, a short three-man show that is an eary work of Sullivan with the librettist F.C.Bernard (the editor of "Punch" magazine. Unbeknownst to Mr Cox and Mr Box, each rents the same premises from the crafty Bpouncer. They do not encounter one another because one works only at night and the other only by day. However, a holiday for both Cox and Box causes them to meet! The show has non-stop action peppered with delightful songs and amusing dialogue.
